About Card Watch
Card Watch is a restock and price-drop monitor for sealed trading card product. It watches retailers' own product pages and reports when something comes back in stock or gets marked down.
Who runs it
Card Watch is built and operated by The Card Breaks, a trading card breaking and collecting community. It began as a tool for our own group — we were tired of missing restocks — and the product pages on this site are the public face of what it tracks.
How products get selected
We track sealed product only: booster boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, blasters, mega boxes, hanger boxes, hobby boxes and tins. We do not track singles, graded cards, or anything sold on a resale marketplace.
Every product on this site is a real listing at a real retailer, and every link points to that retailer's own product page. We add products because collectors in our community actually want them, not because a merchant paid for placement — no retailer or manufacturer has ever paid us to list a product, and none can.
How the monitoring works
- Each tracked product is checked on a schedule against the retailer's own listing.
- A restock or markdown is verified before it is reported. Marketplace reseller listings, prices above manufacturer retail, and pages we could not read correctly are filtered out rather than announced — a false alert costs our members more than a missed one does.
- List prices shown on this site are manufacturer suggested retail (MSRP), which is stable. They are not the retailer's live price, which changes constantly. Always confirm the current price on the retailer's own page before buying.
How we make money
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission from the retailer — at no additional cost to you.
It never changes the price you pay, and it never influences what we track or what we report. We link to the retailer's own product page; we do not resell, and we do not mark anything up. Products with no affiliate relationship are listed and linked exactly the same way.
We deliberately do not run display advertising, pop-ups, interstitials, or newsletter capture on these pages. The only script these pages load is our affiliate link-tracker, which rewrites the retailer links and does nothing else — no analytics, no pixel, no session recording. What we will not do
- We do not operate checkout bots or automated purchasing of any kind. Card Watch monitors and links — it never buys.
- We do not resell product or mark up prices.
- We do not report a restock we could not verify, and we do not post reseller prices as if they were retail ones.
